A quiet week when it comes to new DVD/Blu-ray selections....but take nothing away from two really good titles including the pairing you never thought you'd see....Scooby-Doo meeting KISS. Yes I saw it and I like it!
Pick Of The Week
Scooby-Doo and KISS: Rock And Roll Mystery / Not Rated / Voices of Frank Welker, Mindy Cohn
When the Crimson Witch summons the Destroyer from the alternate dimension of Kissteria, the Mystery Inc. gang joins forces with the legendary rock band. The members of KISS are all present in this animated coupling, including Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. Who doesn’t love Scooby? This new movie rocks and I have to “Shout It Out Loud.” (Grade: B)
Also This Week
What We Do in the Shadows / Rated R / Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi
The story of vampires has never been told quite like this. Viago, Deacon and Vladislav have allowed a documentary film crew to follow them around through their daily lives. Funny thing is, it contains chores, paying rent, fights with flatmates and more mundane tasks.
Wild Horses / Rated R / Robert Duvall, James Franco
The Briggs family thought they had put the past behind them, but when a Texas Ranger starts digging into a missing persons case, Scott Briggs and his family will be at the center of the investigation.
TV Seasons
Ancient Aliens (Season 7, Vol. 1)
Robot Chicken (Season 7) / Seth Green, Matthew Senreich
